Ak, the 6 month old puppy whose ears were cut off is one of many animals to suffer a deliberate senseless act of cruelty. The Ontario SPCA wants to end the suffering once and for all. We know you want to help too! Ontario is one of the few provinces without a provincial offence under it's SPCA Act for any person causing or permitting distress in an animal. Please call or write your local Member of Provincial Parliament and Monte Kwinter, Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services and voice your demand for a provincial animal cruelty offence under the Ontario SPCA Act that would allow the Ontario SPCA to more effectively charge and prosecute animal abusers.
