| 752 | Margery Cavins | If AKC truly wants to reach and educate new pet owners (bring them into the fold...), AKC can offer a new category of ILP, such as XLP, to allow any dog to participate in all AKC activities except conformation. Companion canines could be XLPd for a registration fee, regardless of their background, as long as they were spayed/neutered. Revenues lost to CKC would be quickly recovered. "Purebred" dogs could continue to be ILPd while meeting the current ILP spay/neuter requirements. |

| 758 | T. Maenad Widdershins | This action was not something that would have been approved by the delegates, and the board knew this, thus the underhanded way you slid it past them. You must repeal this, or you will lose the respect of the true dog fancy in America |
| 759 | constance szeflinski | I hope the AKC changes their minds about this and withdraws their support of pet store dogs. In fact, I would very much like to see AKC refuse to register petstore dogs.
In any case, if AKC continues on this path I will join a movement for the Portuguese Water Dog Club to remove it's affiliation with AKC. Why should we be affiliated with a club that is working against the betterment of pure bred dogs? I would encourage all breed clubs to consider this. We can control our own registrations like the American Border Collie does. And at some point form an association to take the place of the AKC. If they're in it for the money, something that is still "in it for the dogs" needs to be created.
take care,

| 760 | Cyndy Israel | I own two AKC registered dogs and actively participate in both conformation and performance events.
I find this "partnership" appalling and against everything the AKC should stand for. What were you thinking? |
| 761 | Cindy Gaines | This is a ridiculous thing to be supporting. So much for caring about the health and welfare of the animals. Why don't you just advocate everyone to buy from a puppy mill and say that it is okay. These poor animals. AKC who are you really trying to help, your pockets getting richer and richer full of more money. I am so displeased and ashamed of anyone in AKC that supports this bill. You are a disgrace. |

| 765 | Jean Simmonds | I have been around for YEARS- and AKC was always the registry high on a pedestal, setting high standards of etrhics for dog breeders. Now it is stooping so low I am almost inclined to go in another direction. It is a crime that it has become SO money-hungry that it would consider supporting the real low-brow of dogdom- the HVBs. |
| 766 | Eloise Thornton | |
| 767 | Heather Merritt | It breaks my heart to hear the people that get their pets from pet stores and they always seem to have health problems with them and they have paid double what they would if they would reasearch and buy their pet from a reuptable breeeder that cares about the animals they breed instead. |
| 768 | William Belcher | |
| 769 | Jennifer Madrid | No matter how AKC tries to explain their actions, this still has the appearance of an endorsement of sales of purebred dogs from pet stores. Up until now, I have competed in AKC agility and rally obedience with my dogs. In protest of this deal, I will no longer enter AKC events. There are enough other organizations offering agility competitions. |

| 774 | lynn clark | please, AKC, take the correct stand and continue with your original goal of improving the breeds of dogs. |

| 778 | jennifer hainen | AKC this is dispicable. I will no longer support any AKC functions or register any future puppies with you. You should be using your influence and money to shut puppy mills down. I don't understand how you can condone the suffering of innocent dogs you claim to care so much about. Its all about the almighty dollar. The entire board should be fired! |
| 779 | Sue Hainen | I thought the AKC was for the promotion and protection of pure bred dogs not animal cruelty! I encourage all breed clubs to reconsider registering with them. |
| 780 | Gayle Garbush | It is against the best interest of purebred dogs for AKC to form an alliance with pet shops or puppy millers. Please don't disappoint us by "selling out." |
| 781 | Lucy Shepard | I oppose the AKC stranglehold on dog shows, too. It's hard to believe that an animal with perfect confirmation (but not AKC reg.) cannot be shown when the pittiful specimens bought in pet stores can be shown! |
| 782 | Lisa Breedlove | Of everyone involved in the pet trade I am most disappointed in the AKC. They have sold out for profit. They are accepting their $10 registration fee and no longer caring about the animals or where they have come from. Shame on you AKC |
