Name: Stu Chait on Aug 21, 2006Comments: I have had many out of town visitors tell me what a pleasure it is to see such a great display of artwork in a public space such as an airport. This is what distinguishes us as a community from other cities. Any city can have an airport. How many that you have visited have public artFlag

Name: Lisa Shaw on Aug 21, 2006Comments: Rochester's airport looks better because of its art right out there in the middle of everything than 99% of other airports around the world. Believe me, I have probably been in them. Keep the art out in highly visible areas where most people will have to pass by it. Art as the first thing you see when you arrive makes Rochester look like a civilized and welcoming place.Flag

Name: Francine Koskinas on Aug 21, 2006Comments: Airport art is a signal to visitors of who we are as a community. It speaks to our interests in culture, vitality and creataivity. Office space speaks to our interests in boredom and sterility. Is this what you want for ROchesterFlag

Name: Jan Jacque on Aug 23, 2006Comments: Are the airport officials unimaginative republican types that think the only way to make the airport thrive is to "service" customers =$$$$ Have they no soul! It's outrageous to give up our fabulous art in favor of their greed.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 26, 2006Comments: I think it is short-sighted and saddening to remove this artwork from the airport. the airport itself is in shoddy condition as it is, and i think that removing the art is removing any sort of culture and personality the airport may have had.Flag

I remember what an important and wise thing it was to display Rochester's finest artists at this city's high visability port of entry. DO NOT REMOVE THIS SPIRIT OF ROCHESTER FROM IT'S PRIME LOCATION.Flag

Name: Ethan Alderman on Aug 31, 2006Comments: The county didn't pay for the artwork, the county doesn't own the artwork (the community does). The county should keep their hands off our art displayed at the airport, and spend their time on issues that improve the community, such as education, poverty, crime, economic developement, property tax reduction... rather than removing an existing asset that bolsters the image of this city and region for arriving visitors!Flag

I loved that sculpture, and now when I walk by the space isn't being used at all. ALL OF THE ART THAT IS IN AIRPORT STORAGE NEEDS TO BE BROUGHT OUT!!! ART IS MEANT TO BE SEEN, APPRECIATED and SHOWN OFF! let's show off the talent we have in our city!!Flag

Name: Dave Sewhuk on Sep 30, 2010Comments: They can seem to instantly put up the Midtown clock, but not install the Wendell Castle one? Where are they now? Can we see they still exist or did someone sell them and pocket the money. I have been through many airports and they sometimes have many nice installations. Our is just blah or confused with a car dealership. Who buys cars from an airport?Flag
