We are a diaspora of Indians settled in and around the Detroit metropolitan area for the last forty years approximately. It has been our constant endeavor to patronize our National Carrier, Air India and for that purpose we have constantly driven a distance of 500 miles to reach the O'hare airport at Chicago.

We have realized in the past few months that Air India operates non-stop flights to New York's John F Kennedy International Airport as well as The Liberty International Airport at New Jersey. Keeping this example in mind , we have inter-acted between ourselves  at different forums and decided to appeal to the Air India management and the Civil Aviation authorities in New Delhi to start non-stop services to India from Detroit . We emphasize this even strongly as there are very good connections to various parts of India from New Delhi and Air India offers seamless travel , so we will be giving business to the International as well as the Domestic sector .
