| 1301 | Zach Allton | The Lord of the Rings without Peter Jackson is a Lord of the Rings that I don't want to watch. |
| 1302 | Vito | WE WANT PJ. WE WANT PJ. WE WANT PJ. Please get Mr. Jackson to direct. |
| 1303 | Kevin Kane | If Jackson doesn't do the Hobbit...why would we see it? |
| 1304 | kelly. | PJ ! |
| 1305 | Andrew Kane | fuck new line |
| 1306 | Joel Sesco | Please put any squabbles behind you and let Mr. Jackson complete the project that he so skillfully began. |

| 1308 | Echolalia | Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh earned the right to make "the Hobbit" through the amazing work they did on the LOTR trilogy. They deserve the chance. |
| 1309 | Joseph Pancella | |
| 1310 | Samuel Holley | Though Jackson is certainly known for creating 'epic' movies, and The Hobbit is less epic than LOTR, he is a very capable filmmaker and more familiar with the style and material necessary than most others available. This movie could turn out well without him, but it simply won't be what it could have been. |

| 1313 | Anonymous | You mustn't make these films without Peter Jackson and his fantastic crew. Think of the fans, damn it! Do you want to disappoint millions of people? |

| 1320 | Joel Micah Donovan | Wingnut Films is the only production house who can make The Hobbit a true prequel to its LotR trilogy. Without that association, The Hobbit film will simply be considered New Line's unfortunate attempt to cash in on the popularity of the Lord of the Rings franchise, which they owe in no small part to Peter Jackson. Tolkien's beloved novel deserves better treatment. |
| 1321 | cameron coles | |
| 1322 | abi westacott | |
| 1323 | Wendy Williams | Please reconsider and let Peter Jackson direct The Hobbit. The man did a masterful job with the trilogy and I can't imagine anyone else doing the hobbit. Please Please, do whatever it takes. Keep Peter Jackson at the helm for this. |
| 1324 | Kate | I guess it's too late for petitioning now but know you're in for a flop, New Line, congratulations. You better be praying that The Golden Compass does as well as your hype machine is gearing it up for... |

| 1328 | Luke Browell | PJ is the man for the job. |
| 1329 | Mikkel Drewsen | Peter Jackson should definitely do it! |
| 1330 | Luciano Lima | |
| 1331 | Jack davidson | The Hobbit must be done by PJ because without him it will look too different to LOTR and will look like a different completely movie. It also must have Ian mckellen playing gandalf the grey |
| 1332 | CindeeRoo | Having someone else make The Hobbit is like telling us that someone else has made a finished series of artwork by Picasso.
How can ANYONE capture that same feel of Middle-earth that Peter Jackson and his team did? We know they can't. I just know that I cannot embrace The Hobbit if made by someone other than PJ and team. It won't be Middle-earth...it will be medeocer at best. |
| 1333 | Shelby Nikolai | |
| 1334 | Sammi ( Think ya know what its short for | It will totally ruin the movie if some one else directs ' The Hobbit' , Its plain and simple , I just won't see the movie . Its just like Harry Potter, they kept changing directors but this Mike guy seems nice but is a realy REALY bad director. That Alfonso guy was so much better ( I think that's the director's name for POA ) I don't know if any one will listen and yes this will probly get annoyinng but I want people to see my point , So I'll put it in Caps.
IF THEY DO NOT HAVE PJ DIRECT THE MOVIE WE WILL NOT JUST SEE THE MOVIE. THAT WILL MAKE THE MOVIE LOSE A LOT OF MONEY. IT COULD ALSO GET A BAD REPUTATION ( this new director) JUST DON'T SEE IT . TRUST ME I KNOW IT WILL WORK , IF EVERYONE AND I MEAN EVERYONE DOES NOT SEE IT.
That wasn't so bad now was it ? Questions? Comments . Email me at

| 1338 | Jimmy | No p.j. , No fucking hobbit |
| 1339 | Chad Heston | The Hobbit films without Peter Jackson and WETA at the helm are doomed to fail. He is the only person that is absolutely perfect for the job and has a proven track record with production of the amazing LOTR films... without PJ there is really no point!!! I would not be interested and in fact would feel extremely let down in a film without PJ + WETA involvement. |
| 1340 | Phill Parker | Please do not allow a book so important to so many people to be adapted for the big screen by anyone who does not 'get it'. Jackson has massive respect & passion for Tolkien's work, and this was the driver for LOTR, rather than potential profit and awards. Mark Kermode, the British film critic, is keeping the LOTR DVDs for his young children to watch when they are old enough, to show them how films should be made. This is what Jackson can achieve, not just another blockbuster which fades from memory within months.
Please - either let PJ work his magic, or don't bother at all. |

..
.
. PETER JACKSON MUST DIRECT THE HOBBIT!!!! |
| 1344 | James Franken | We need Pete! |
| 1345 | Ryan Florcke | |
| 1346 | Julia | Peter Jackson showed that he has the imagination and mind to really grasp Tolkien to the point where only the most die-hard Tolkien fanatics dislike his movie. And he has the creativity and dedication and the team to make it come alive on screen.
The fact alone that his movies were a huge financial success should make New Line Cinema keep him on board.
Take somebody else because he's cheaper and you'll run the very likely risk of an debacle like the Earth Sea movies. And that would put New Line on the black list for every Tolkien /LotR/PJ fan out there. |

| 1348 | Nicholas Holz | |
| 1349 | Michael Wayne | |
| 1350 | Jason Cortese | It's a ridiculous mess. Jackson or nothing. Swallow it. Unfortunately there aren't really any other New Line movies I'm looking forward to, so my money won't may not be missed... |
