Comments: I feel this curfew will only encourage youth to sneak around more. This is more of a punishment and what our youth need is an alternative or options of things to do with their peers, etc.

Comments: I totally oppose. I do not think that there should be any curfew at all. It is the parents responsibility to keep their kids from being out too late. And they should enforce a curfew on their kids and not the City of Aiken!

Comments: The ordinance does not make any sense therefore if passed more complications will come along which will make the current situation worse. And why 17 and under if the problems are mainly coming from those persons above 17 Its too confusing and will be hard to keep up with and very unorganized.

Comments: This country was founded based on the principal of freedom of individual without oppression by the government. As an attorney that works in both the family and criminal courts, I am well aware of the problems caused by some of our youth today. However, wanting to impose a curfew on ALL teenagers is overly oppressive and punishes all teenages, not just the small group that are the problem. If one thinks that having a curfew is going to cause teen crime, drinking and drugs use to go away, then that is very naive thinking.

Comments: I believe ordinances and laws pertaining to minors and how they are dealt with are already on the books. An additional and unwarranted ordinance is not the best way to enforce any problems stemming from young people out past a mandatory curfew.
