We the, concerned citizens of Ireland, say no to our Taoiseach's, his ministers, etc, ridiculous pay increase, it is the same or more than some earn in a year, which they/we work really hard for!

Aileen Creavin, Ireland7 years ago Comments: Not only is the Taoiseach of our country un-deserving of the pay increase awarded to him but so too are the heads of the bloated and inefficient civil service. It is outragous that this pay increase is claimed to be by an independent body (all bar one of the members on the board were civil servants) and if any private sector was run with the incompetence that we find regularly with state bodies it would have long ago fallen to the wayside. How is it that there can be a hiring freeze within the HSE which endangers the lives of men women and children when there appears to be plently of money to line the pockets of civil servants and politicians. I am disgusted by this governments actions and its attitude to the public and its needs. 'A government of the people, for the people', if only.

Bobby Noonan, Ireland7 years ago Comments: This is a joke lads. Something has to be done to stop this kind of carry on! Its getting to the point where im finding it hard to say that im proud to be Irish when these kind of antics are commonplace amongst the people representing us!
