Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy has been through many administrative changes thus causing many policy changes for the student population to adapt to. Most parents and students have not been properly introduced to the schools new rules and regulations. Student handbooks were not distributed to a large population of the student body. Some parents requested to be given a handbook and upon their request were told that Mr.Piscal would have them along with the bylaws at open house but Mr.Piscal was not present for parents to speak with. Students that I have spoken with are expressing to me their concerns of not having a voice that is being heard by the appropriate teachers. Students have expressed to me and trusted staff members that a lot of the rules and bylaws are unjust. Seniors are failing core classes that they need to graduate because they are not being correctly prepared for test that are now 50% of their grades. Please support our Agassi students in trying to appropriately voice their opinions about how their education should be handled. If children are our future we should correctly place them on the path to success not a road to failure.
