God, and the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) From the beginning of time, God’s image for marriage is between a man and woman. Genesis 2:18-25 tells us; “And the Lord God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him." Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him. And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept, and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. And Adam said: "This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man." Therefore a MAN shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his WIFE, and they shall become one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed”. When God created a “helper comparable for Adam”, he did not create another man but a woman. This shows us that the normalcy of marriage and procreation is between a man and woman just as God designed it to be. Jesus taught marriage between a man and woman in Matthew 19:4, “….Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning 'made them male and female,” Also Mark 10:6 the Lord would say, “But from the beginning of the creation, God 'made them male and female.” Marriage is an institution designed by God and not man. Many will read this as a hate petition but it’s not. We are only showing how God instituted marriage from the beginning and nothing has changed since then. God’s word gives strong warnings against same-sex marriage. In Romans 1:26-27, the Bible reads, “For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the NATURAL USE for what is AGAINST nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the NATURAL USE of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.” 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 speaks as such, “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor HOMOSEXUALS, nor SODOMITES, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.” I know you believe this for if you didn’t, there would be no “wrestling” in you about it. In Romans 1:32 in speaking about those do not retain God in their knowledge (v.28), God’s word tells us, “who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.” God, Mr. President does not want us to support the practice of sins that are against His will for mankind and same-sex marriage is one of them. We therefore pray that you trust in God and His word and not be influenced by Hollywood, sports and entertainment elite who uses strong arm tactics (their status) to pressure you (and others) to approve same-sex marriage when God disapproves of it. We pray that you do not join those Americans who support the freedom of marriage but remain faithful to God’s word on this topic even if it’s you and a few other Americans who will hold fast to it. It may be the end of your presidency but integrity as Job had (Job 2:3; 31:6) is more important with God.
