This bill has to be turned down!!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jun 6, 2007Comments: This is the most ridiculous regulation i have ever seen. Why is this even affecting the rec boat community Rec Boats and PWC's do not even have ballast water systems. Does the ninth district court consider a bilge pump the same as a ballast water pump now!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jun 6, 2007Comments: CRAZY! I don't use my jet ski enough and most don't use their boats enough to warrant a $800 a yr. permit...the boating industry will fall on it's face and there will be boat junkyards sitting there with boats people don't want to get permits for. So much for recreation...I suppose the local lakes budgets will shrink because no one will want to pay extra for launch fees and etc. It will just be too expensive. Thanx for trying to ruin an american recreation...a day at the lake with the family.Flag

Name: Marvin Bulas on Jun 27, 2007Comments: Please understand, by enacting a law such as this you will be criminalizing the vast majority of boaters who will not carry this permit. This doesn't even mention people such as myself who own PWC. Some boats/PWC were purchased for less than the price of the annual proposed permit!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jul 12, 2007Comments: Good Economy Killer right there Folks. The only thing I can see this doing is taking the Largest industry (fishing) and shrinking it down to nothing. Companies will fold, people will be out of work. State Parks will not have the funding to operate due to lack of interest. Bad juju. There was not much thought put into this.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Dec 4, 2007Comments: Why doesn't the EPA just re-write the bill to state "that only those pleasure crafts exceding 100,000 gross tons must apply for the proper permits". The courts only advised the EPA to revise the Clean Water Act. By doing it this way the average Joe Boater should be exempt from paying a ridiculous tax which would only go to the government for its many indiscretions of careless spending. We as boaters don't need one more tax to put a damper on our valued recreation time.Flag
