Comments: I'm 14 and I know the dangers of anorexia and what it can do to you. a All these sites on the web are telling every one that in order to be beautiful you have to be extremely thin and that no madder how thin you are you can always be skinnier.I think that it is sickining to know that there are people out there who are that are putting up websites out there that are helping people kill themselves. However I do not believe that it is ok to be extremely over weight because it is also a way to slowly kill them selves with gluttony. Thank you for listenig to what I have to say and hopefully you will take what I have said into consideration that ALL PRO_ANOREXIA websites should be shut down

Comments: I think that is wrong that people in magazines have all these REAL sick looking people in there. People who look like that are gross. Please get these people off the runways and get better looking people on there. Thanks a lot.

Comments: This is Wendy DuMars and my mother Wendy Peterson has been suffering from anorexia for nearly all her life and has been hospitalized several times due to this sickness. She is now refused treatment due to her insurance not covering her hospital stay and now her insurance will drop her all together unless she weighs 90 pounds. She barely weighs 80 and she still wants to lose more. It's hard for her to talk to me about it but I know she does not want to die and I am VERY scared for her. Please help me find help for her. I would be so very grateful for ANY advice or help you could offer. Please atleast email me back to say you got this and you care because I am tired of the web sites that say they care and will offer help but I hear nothing from. PLEASE HELP!!!!!! My email address is wendydumars@yahoo.com Thank you.

Comments: I myself suffer from anorexia. This is my 2nd time in having it in my life time.I am 35 now the first time i had it was when i was 21...I feel that our young ones are wasting away.from what are the pressures of Having to be thin.what they see on tv and what other expect from them.it is only if they can under stand they are perfect they way they are... they are 1 of a kind and nothing can ever change that, no modles no tv ads etc.I have walked the shoes of them not once but now twice.i know what it feels like to look at myself and not see bones but "feel" over weight" Ihope you can make the difference so that our young ones now can have hope and see how beautiful they are by just being "them" and understand that these ads and such are nothing but a sell prop.these people are really no bodies and they won't be the ones holding their hands or crying the tears for them when the heart starts screaming i am dying ,or can't get the thought patterns right gets confused easy. when the minds slows down or you feel faint because you have forgot to eat somthing for a week..you tell these people that do these ads ,where are you when we have thousands of kids DYING because they wanna disply thin is in... are they going to go visit the parnets of the child and hold thier hands and help them much less the kids alone No i think thier minds are on selling...and making a fast buck while our youth continues waste away...for the ad people what can't they show the beauty in all sizes

Comments: I'm a 15 year old female, I am abused by my parents & I have been "seacretly" suffering with anorexia for a long time. My mom knew I had a eating disorder about 6 months ago because I began to get sick, weak & I was getting stress fractures in my bones from running (I run cross country in school). about 3 months ago, I was 83 lbs. (I am "5'6) but I have gained a little of the weight back due to being forced to, and NOW I am right back where I started, I find myself starving again & I want to be skinnier now. Now my mom thinks I am ok, she doesn't understand that I can't just totally change my mind about eating. I could never discus this with ANYONE because they just don't understand. It's a battle that I can't win. My mind is taken over by it & it's all I can think about now. It's really hard to love myself, enjoy life, & connect with others. My root problem I believe is the lack of controll in my life. My parents opress me & the only thing they can't controll is what goes into my mouth. Anorexia is nothing but a never-ending battle between your mind & reality and it's time the media actually promotes positive health & stops giving girls eatting disorders because NO ONE diserves this. no one...
