To the Honourables - the Prime Minister and Members of the Senate Assembly - this petition endeavors to draw the attention of the Australian Federal Parliament that Afghan Australians continue to suffer due to the trials of separation from their immediate family members who live in poverty, luck of security and any future outside of Afghanistan. Additionally to draw your attention the state of chaos and political instability continuing in Afghanistan and Pakistan, the resultant trauma being suffered by people within Afghanistan and displaced Afghan people living outside the country. Therefore, respectfully draw your attention to the impossibility of displaced Afghans being repatriated within their own country due to a climate of fear and call on the Australian Government to: 1. Work with other peace loving countries to achieve peace and stability in Afghanistan; 2. Work to help in the rehabilitation of Afghan people through education and vocational training to provide skills to assist Afghans to rebuild their country; 3. Enable Afghan Australian to sponsor their parents and their siblings through the Special Humanitarian Program; and above all 4.Grant assistance to women at risk and their children who are helplessly living without support in Pakistan and Iran.
