Name: Alena Watters on Oct 31, 2011Comments: I feel this rule leaves room open for the possibility of risking the health & longevity of the careers of Equity performers. Every show has different demands, some greater than others, and it is imperative that we maintain healthy work schedules that allow for consistent & proper (at least 'adequate') time for rest. Equity performers, whether singers, dancers, actors (or all three), and the stage managers who spend so much extra time managing us and 'running the ship', are essentially athletes in our own rights, and without proper rest and time to take care of ourselves, this rule could prove detrimental to the physical, vocal, and mental health of our working members. I am certainly very grateful for all the hard work that our representating negotiators have put forth to take care of us, but wish to see this rule changed to ensure we are protected. Thank you!Flag

Name: Michael Brian Dunn on Oct 31, 2011Comments: this sounds like a nightmare situation for Actors. As it is, one day off after a 5 show weekend is hardly enough time to recover vocally, physically, and emotionally, adding another performance to that overburdens us un-necessarily. Over a long run of a show this builds up and will certainly cause damage that will outlast the run of any show.Flag

Name: Lawrence Cummings on Oct 31, 2011Comments: six shows in 3 days is way too many. A five show weekend in itself is not conducive to good singing and dancing, so a six show should be out of the question. And if a producer feels that they need this, then they NEED to compensate us. It is getting ridiculous with equity protecting producers and NOT it's rightful place the ACTOR!!!!Flag
