Sharkey on Sep 25, 2010Comments: The Catholic Church "Closed the deal" with me as a teen...I converted to the Faith and have continued to try to live faithfully as a Roman Catholic, because of a faithful Priest, supporting Bishop and a thriving teen ministry at my parish in SC because they supported Youth Ministry.They found value in the Youth in our Diocese and in our parishes.We were encouraged, Mentored and celebrated. From my CYO, we now have 2 Priests in our diocese. We are not "death-bed" conversions needing the pain of our parents to pray us into the kingdom. Our parents can be free to serve and pursue other areas to minister in our parishes and communities. They do not have to be preoccupied with us. This was accomplished by the kind and active support of our priests and our bishop working with the Holy Spirit to raise up "The New Faithful". I always pray for these men of God and support them. They had the vision to discern God's intention and execute it. John Paul the Great furthered this work and inspired us to continue this work. Please consider pouring as many resources possible to further Youth Ministry Leaders and Ministry in order to Light the World with the faithfulness and creative Spirit of God Himself.US State of Residence: South CarolinaFlag
