Name: Ivar Trygve Jarlsby on Mar 12, 2008Comments: I'm autistic, and hear that Obama has great ideas to help people with disabilities and also families affected by autism. Hillary Clinton on the other hand want to fund Autism Speaks which is in reality a controversial organization that does not do much to help people or families affected by autism. Instead Autism Speaks fund genetic research and spokespersons statements have often indicated that they develop a prenetal test for autism. That is not something autistic people want.Flag

Name: Sheri Anderson Grigsby on Mar 18, 2008Comments: As a person with a disability, issues concerning the ADA are of great importance to me. Barack Obamas plan is clear and concise, and not only recognizes what needs to be done to create full inclusion for all members of society, but gives concrete ways in which to implement these plans.Flag

Name: Marcie Lipsitt on Sep 17, 2008Comments: It is long overdue that "We the Parents" of students with special needs, elect an "education" president that will fulfill the ten year broken promise of 40% funding for IDEA 2004 along with increasing accountability and overhauling teacher preparation. No population of children is suffering more in classrooms with less than highly qualified teachers than those in our special education secondary resource content classes across America.Flag
