The first season of American Horror Story (on the F/X Cable Network) has concluded its run, and according to the statement issued by show creator Ryan Murphy immediately after the season finale, the current cast will be replaced by a completely new cast of actors and storyline for season 2. This means that talented actress Jessica Lange (who portrayed Constance Langdon) will most likely not appear in season 2, therefore the only logical replacement would be actress Karen Black to be hired for season 2 of American Horror Story. The caliber of her acting skills in the genre is legendary and spans nearly five decades. Her hire as a cast member for season 2 of American Horror Story should be considered a natural progression for both the show, and for the actress.
