Comments: Some stores have van parking spaces and it irritates me to no end that people pull into them and just walk into the store, not caring for those of us who need a wheel chair.

Comments: this petition is way off base and so very flawed in its concept! All Accessible spaces, as I call them, require an Access aisle of five feet (standard) and an eight foot Access aisle for a wheelchair user to embark or dis-embark from their vehicle. I use Accessible parking often and I do not use any mobility assistive device. I need the Access aisle to open my door, and ensure that I do not hit the car next where I have parked. I do not have enough balance and must use my left arm/hand to steady myself, without holding on too the car door. An Access aisle allows me to swing the car door completely open without hitting the car parked next to me. This would not be possible if an Access aisle was not located next too the Accessible parking spaces. As an Advocate for Individuals with disAbilities for 11 years now, I vehemently appose this petition; Scott Ricker, Reli-Abilities Access Advocate Worcester, Massachusetts

Comments: Agreed. This is a major issue I see happening all the time. I see people who are young snd capable of walking parking in Handicap spaces. Although we do not know what goes on with anyones health, a Accessable parking would be beneficial and leave all Handicap spaces for people using equipment.

Comments: I feel the HP parking laws need to be re-vamped. It is frustrating to need a wheelchair accessible parking space and someone who you can't even tell has a handicap gets it and then proceeds to get out of their "huge" vehicle and WALK into the store and I have to park in a regular space and back into the line of traffic to load and unload my husband in his wheelchair.
