Name: Anonymous on Nov 13, 2010Comments: The president of Cornell, David Skorton (who claims to be vegetarian himself), needs to show leadership and stand up not only for the ethics behind the Cornell mantra, "Any person, any study", but also for the supposed forward-thinkingness that Cornell as an educational institution purports to offer in its programs of study. I have seen Dr. Campbell speak at Cornell. The venue is filled to overflowing, and students want to know if/when he will be teaching. For Cornell to deny students access to Dr. Campbell's amazing work, knowledge and discourse as a part of the Division of Nutritional Sciences is nothing short of censorship. His course belongs in the curriculum. Opposing views are what make up a democracy and what define the educational process. Censorship is what defines special interests, corruption and cronyism.Flag

Name: Susan Reisenweaver on Jan 19, 2011Comments: Please consider reinstating Dr. Campbell's Plant-Based Nutrition Course. In the spirit of academic fairness, students should be exposed to various opinions about nutrition so that they can then formulate their own conclusions based on the science behind the studies. This is what higher learning is all about.Flag

Withdrawing this class is nothing short of a human rights violation and an attempt to preclude the spread of necessary education would positively impact every aspect of these students' lives. Cornell should be ashamed of this decision and the obvious collusion with corporations and outdated viewpoints that work feverishly to maintain the status quo. Reinstate this class.Flag

Name: Kala Kumar on Jan 28, 2011Comments: Please reinstate the course known as NS200 - Vegetarian Nutrition to your schedule of classes. The information on this subject has been proven to greatly improve prople's health, quality of life and longevity. Dr. Campbell's research in this field is ground breaking and does credit to Cornell University. Please follow Ezra Cornell's wishes that : "I would found an institution where any person can find instruction in any study."Flag

Name: Dawn D'Arcangelo on Feb 2, 2011Comments: This course is of the utmost importance today. With the world in dire circumstances - climate change, starvation, water/air/ground pollution, acidic ocean waters and so much more, there is no better time to promote this class. To do otherwise is showing your loyalty to a dying (and killing) industry - animal agribusiness. Will you be non-partisan or go vote where your money comes from? Who are you really?Flag
