Name: Rudy Balli on Oct 14, 2003State: CACountry: USComments: ATT SUCKS!!! They lured me into a 2 year contract with the promise that I would get a free phone upgrade after 1 year. Now it's been 15 months I've been with them and every time I ask for my upgrade I get a flat-out "NO". When I said that I was misled and wanted out of the remaining 8 months the "supervisor" informed me of a $172 early cancellation fee. I had a similar problem with ATT Broadband. I will NEVER, EVER do business with ATT again.Flag

It's not, and they won't let me out of my contract... not fair considering that they have not provided this great service they promised.Flag

Name: Heidi Sturrock on Oct 18, 2003State: MACountry: USComments: I lost my mobile phone while out at night. The next morning I realized my phone was missing and called it is stollen to AT&T right away, letting them know I lost last night before 1am (that's when I arrived home--we suspect my phone fell out of my purse in the cab ride home.) Three weeks later I get my bill with over $400 of calls that were made between the time I actually lost my phone and realized it was gone to call it in (a matter of hours). AT&T reps could only drone on about the policy of not being responsible for calls before the phone is called in missing. What is AT&T doing to protect its loyal customers from instances like this There should be a grace period--not everyone knows there phone went missing the second it happens!Flag

Name: Bob Green on Oct 18, 2003State: OHCountry: USComments: My AT&T wireless plan that was supposed to only cost $29.95 (never any more than that the telephone rep assured me) ended up costing me an average of $50 to $80 per month. I was constantly calling, complaining, refusing to pay unwarranted charges, having my service cut off - man, I'm glad I am no longer in bondage to those schmucks! I had never had problems with my AT&T long distance service, but the creeps that ran the wireless division must have been hired from one of those old Las Vegas telephone boiler rooms. They were constantly padding my bill. I ended up owing them $104 on my final bill and refused to pay it. Of course, they have screwed up my credit but I don't care. They will never see another penny from me. It's sad to see such a great company as AT&T once was to be turned into a seedy swarm of two-bit hucksters. Anyway, that's my two cents. Oh, and never give a penny to AT&T Wireless.Flag

Name: Christopher Beattie on Oct 21, 2003State: CACountry: USComments: I live in Los Angeles and there are 1 square mile sections throughout the city where I get so little reception that AT&T's name doesn't even appear on my phone anymore. What is the point of having a cell phone for emergencies when I won't be able to make a connection during an emergency And AT&T advertises M-Life, the idea that your cell phone can be your only phone. But there is no way that can happen unless I live on the street because the signal is weak in my apartment, even on the balcony or the roof.Flag

I purchased online with a series of instant web rebates my total was $79.98, I was billed and charged for $379.82. Consequently i had to have my leasing office pull my rent check. With $300 in funds missing from my account my check would not have cleared. The late fee is $75. I have called 7 times. There has been no solution.Flag

Name: Ryan Sharp on Nov 10, 2003State: NHCountry: USComments: My name is Ryan Sharp and I work in human services with adolescents in crisis and have been unable to depend on my cellular service to remain in contact with my clients and office. I have repeatedly voiced my frustrations to AT&T Wireless regarding the number of dropped calls I have per month. As I am not over my minutes per month, I recieve no comensation for my loss of service. I currently average approximatly 45 minutes to one hour of dropped service per month. So, I went to AT&T Wireless warranty repair and recieved a phone with equally poor service. When I attempted to return the phone to my retailer for an exchange, I was told that as I have not had my phone for a minimum of six months, I would have to pay full retail price for a phone (a near 200% markup- $149.00 for a phone listed in the store as $49.99). Finally attempted to resolve my issue with a Dispute Resolutions Operator at AT&T Wireless, who encouraged me to use my SIM card in my fiancee's phone (impossible as she is using it) or switch back to TDMA which will be obsolete within a year to two years and which is a much larger and cumbersome phone (with equally poor service). I am completely frustrated with AT&T Wireless bait and switch policies in offering rebates on phones with poor service without offering their customers an ability to remedy by upgrading to a phone with better service or the ability to opt out of the contract due to the level of service provided. I fully support any effort made by individuals or groups to hold AT&T Wireless accountable for the service that they provide. Ryan D. SharpFlag

Name: Pramod Gulati on Nov 11, 2003State: CACountry: USComments: Salesman said plan included nationwide roaming, just like sprintpcs, so I went with att despite sprint being a comprable alternative plan. Roaming charges have exceeded $200 for calling from fully digital att territory. Further, agents refuse to answer questions about current roaming charges saying "their systems are not setup to provide that". Website also evades this data.Flag

My service only works half the time. I recommend you post a message to others suggesting they file for 5,000 dollars in damages in small claims court.
