Importance of a childs education

When a child has medical problems which cause them to miss school but completes all assignments and is testing at the level required or above average to be promoted to the next grade, it is unfair for the school to hold them back due to absenses. I understand that the school does not receive money when a child is out. In situations like mine(I pay full price for his lunch daily, I do not send him on the bus and I contribute to ALL fund raisers. I also do not have any type of medical insurance nor do I qualify for government help) I feel I have paid my son's share if not more.
