I want to start a petition to abolish the Seanad as it is nothing more than an expensive talking shop paid for by the taxpayer and serves no purpose. Also, I am clamouring for a reduction in the pay given to judges as too many of them do not hand out sentences which reflect the severity of major crimes. Thirdly, I am pushing for the Government to hold a referendum of both of these issues before December 2010 because if it is not done before the next General Election, it will be another 5 years until any such legislation can be enacted.
