I am writing on behalf of those of us who suffer from life threatening conditions, in that we have to pay our GP practices to write us a letter to justify us carrying equipment on board a flight that would in effect possibly save our lives. By charging to write a few words on a piece of paper for profit or gain is wholly unacceptable. Some would say it is for administrative purposes, but I say that is what you employ office staff for and that it is part and parcel of their job remit and for people like me with life threatening illnesses should not be discriminated against by having to pay to justify the equipment we have to carry to save our lives.
