Abandon the “Continuing Education” requirement for Architects… Requiring architects to stay abreast of developments related to the health, safety, and welfare of building occupants is a good thing. However, the existing continuing education system is merely a conduit for manufacturers to present products, and is often a waste of time… it is rarely an opportunity to learn about improving the safety of our buildings. The system is a farce, and should be abandoned or transformed into a program that satisfies the original intent. Promote abandonment!
