The Petition

We, the undersigned, would ask by this petition that all fellow pro-life advocates -- including pro-life leaders, speakers, writers, websites, organizations, and groups -- discontinue use of the phrase, "pro-life except in cases of rape, incest, or the health/life of the mother," and, further, discontinue reference to those claiming to hold such a position as "pro-life".

This is for the following reasons:

1) The idea that one can be pro-life and yet support abortion in certain instances is contradictory and invalidates the pro-life movement's foundational principle that all pre-born babies' lives are sacred, without exceptions, regardless of the circumstances.

2) It is further offensive and hurtful to those who were conceived in rape or incest, sending the message that their lives are of less worth and expendable due to the manner of their conception.

3) It sends the message to society in general that one can still be labelled "pro-life" while supporting and advocating for legal abortion.

4) It supports and sustains a cultural attitude of moral relativism since such language can only accomplish the propagation of the "pro-choice" ethic.

We must always work to remain consistent and faithful, in both word and deed, to the pro-life foundational principles:

1) All human life is sacred from conception.

2) It is always wrong to intentionally kill an innocent human being.

There are no exceptions in the womb, only precious babies!
