Abbeville Elementary School, in Henry County Alabama is in need of a new lunch room. This lunch room has largely remained unchanged for the last 30 years. This school serves over 500 children breakfast and lunch daily. There are only 6 staff members responsible for the cooking, cleaning, and serving of these children. This lunch room is in dire need of updating. We need a facility where the trash can be taken out without the staff being exposed to rainy and cold weather. We need coolers and freezers that can be accessed from inside the building. We need new equipment so that the children can be served healthy, nutritious, and safe food. We need a larger area for the staff to cook and more room for the children to sit. We also need new tables because these tables are ancient.
