| 501 | Jim Hiesley | After looking at this bill and trying to find the documentation to back up the findings, I have to say this is a bogus bill. The findings are not public comments so it is just someones opinion and not factual studies! |
| 502 | Louise Hall | This bill is in direct violation of the 1872 federal mining laws. The arguements to blame small scale miners are without merit. This bill should be discarded. |
| 503 | russ pearce | there hasnt been a bit of common sense in this petitions entire life!assembly member Wolk is on someone elses agenda and not for the good of the people! |
| 504 | Gerald Hobbs | The Bill has used a flawed Mercury study to try and deceive people into thinking dredges don't collect mercury. |
| 505 | john thurman | these people are trying to push this bill thru to circumvent a court order by the california superior court ordering them to do an enviromental impact study to prove that recreational gold prospecting is detremental to the states fisheries. it has been proven time after time that it is not. they feel if they can get this thru before the deadline the court has set that it will over ride the courts order as if the enviromental impact study were completed, it would prove beyond the shadow that recreational gold prospecting and dredging in no way has any detremental effect on fish or there spawning habits. if anything, it is benificial to them. |

| 512 | Jerry Antonetti | We don't need the Department of Fish and Game to prohibit small scale mining activities from occurring on valid Federal mining claims on public land as authorized. |

| 514 | Matt Mattson | If you want to understand gold dredging, watch the free underwater film: "Finding Gold"

and decide for yourself. |
| 515 | MICKEL HALL | I DEFINATELY OPPOSE AB 1032. I WONDER IF THE ENVIRONMENTALISTS KNOW THAT THEY ARE HURTING THEMSELVES AS WELL BY CREATING A PATTERN OF STEPPING ON OUR CONSTITUTION WHENEVER IT SUITS CERTAIN GROUPS. |
| 516 | Carolyn L Duerr | As a claim owner, I hope that the Legislature will actually read this bill. It is a takings and we will instigate legal action to be sure that we a compensated for our losses! |
| 517 | Herbert W. Duerr | This bill will cost the State a great deal of money!
None of us who hold mining claims will take this laying down! |
| 518 | ronald r strand | i And the public Lands for the people strongly oppose this bill its fueled by the the same special interests group that didn't get their way in the kuruk case and circumvents the public hearing prossess ,none of their studies will ever be conclusive why well once your conclusive in your study definatively then no more$$$$$ from grant s get it |

| 527 | terry cato | i have sent the gov a letter of my opposition in july after reading more i still oppose it. |
| 528 | Gerald Hobbs | AB 1032 is based on bad science and is an illegal bill because it is contrary to Federal law and the Constitution of the United States, The Bill is prohibitive and taking of a posserory right, minerals are owned by the mining claim owner, |
| 529 | Wayne Hoyerdahl | The Department of fish and game should follow the rule of law as it is written and stay out of politics... Wayne |
| 530 | Chad Stanford | I am a gold miner, and this will shorten the dredge season on my mining claim. This will be BAD for the fish as the algae will grow and cover potential spawning beds therefore degrading them.
Dredging helps prevent degradation of potential spawning beds and even builds more that are plenty stable to support the spawning season of Salmon and Steelhead. |

| 533 | Anonymous | There's no way in hell the Ca DFG is going to overrule a federal law. Hey greenies, go figure out what is killing a species of fish that MAN put there in the first place! They are NOT native species and were introduced to an area when they should not have been. Now they are not doing well and you want to blame gold prospectors? Get real. Hey politicians, do your own research. If it's not this, it's something else. |
| 534 | Patty Cook | |
| 535 | Don Hirlinger | As a recreational prospector, I find this bill is ill writen and encroaching on my mining rights. I am a vetran, I vote every election, and I care about the environment. This bill really doesn't address the real issue. |
| 536 | David Shields | As a small scale minerI am asking that AB 1032 be vetoed. |
| 537 | rod o'connor | please read the science and veto this bill |

| 541 | Bill Coulter | You need to do a little more studying. The dredging makes the creek better for fish spawing and it fills back in after high water. |

| 543 | Ken Rucker | The laws are already in place to protect the species. This bill is based on half truths and mis-information. If passed it will tie California up in the courts for years to come. |
| 544 | Anonymous | This embarrassmen to the democratic process intends to anoint bureacrats as judge and jury where one biologist's opinion can substitute as scientific fact and be the basis for unchallengable regulations. |
| 545 | Anonymous | A bad bill passed by people that don't know or care to know how helpful small scale mining is to streams and rivers.
If signed into law I'll spend my vacation and money else where. |
| 546 | Tom M. Chambers | |
| 547 | Anonymous | Gov. veto this bad bill ( ab1032 ) just like the terminator would kill it. |
| 548 | Ray Stewart | I thought the theory of law depended on the truth not what someone is making up as they go with NO proof. |
| 549 | Alvin Estman | |
| 550 | Donald W Adolf | this is a bad bill,,,and anyone voteing yes for it should certainly be voted off in the next election...a small minority is trying to dictate to the majority of citizens. There are no checks and balances..and no proof required that a certain waterway should be closed....no test so far has shown that dredgeing in a river or stream at times other than spawning and pre hatching of eggs has hurt any fish species...Please do not enact this bill... |
