Aaron McKie should be the next head coach of the Philadelphia Sixers. Here's why: A Philadelphia native, Aaron graduating Simon Gratz High School in Philadelphia helped lead his team to the Public League championship in 1990. Aaron attended Temple University, where he continued to excel as a basketball player, McKie, completed his three-year career with Temple tied for sixth on the school's career scoring list, was selected Atlantic 10 Conference player of the year in 1993 In the NBA draft, Aaron was selected in the first round by the Portland Trailblazers. He has since played for the Detroit Pistons, the Philadelphia "76ers," and the Los Angeles Lakers. Upon retiring from the NBA, he became an assistant coach for the Sixers. From 2007, he has played an integral role in developing players both on and off the court. The 13-year NBA veteran, who spent parts of eight seasons with the Sixers, is lauded for his professionalism and knowledge of the game. While serving in the current assistant coach capacity, Aaron has a way of engaging players to get the optimal performance from them. For these reasons, Aaron McKie deserves an opportunity to lead the Philadelphia Sixers organization.
