| 102 | John Clarke | Morally the Ontario Government doesn't have a leg to stand on.
Environmentally it's worse.
I live in the Mississippi Valley.
Please start to behave like a statesman. |
| 103 | David Bate | Robert Lovelace is a POLITICAL PRISONER |
| 104 | Ann M White | |
| 105 | Elaine Power | I urge you to uphold the law and to fulfill your constitutional duty of meaningful consultation with Aboriginal people. |
| 106 | Elise Montano | Mr. McGuinty, as a citizen of Ontario I ask you to listen to your community and act in the province's best interests. |

We need to be asking:
What will the grandchildren do for energy?
and start doing that now.
Huge amounts of money could be lost to nuclear energy when we need to be preparing for the future. |

| 118 | Candy McGlynn-Bilow | Total injustice done to the indiginous peoples again. Jail time and hefty fines over protecting land that belongs to us. What kind of government is this? You rule with a strong fist like Castro... Do what I say of in Jail you go!!!!!!!!!!! |

| 120 | Samantha Bilow | I am ashamed to be an Ontario citizen because of this situation. Bob Lovelace is an admirable man who stood up for the rights of the people in our community. When people have no pure water left, we will all know who is at fault. The government for not standing up for what is right- for letting a mining company (who is only out for profit) ruin the land. |

Make a stand for the health of your constiuents and the environment. I will not vote for you ever again, if you do not help stop the mining of uranium. |

| 131 | Anonymous | How can we allow our 'justice' system to put people, Elders especially, in jail for doing what they have to do to protect the land and the people from those who would establish the precidence of wealth and greed over sustainability and community interests?
As a retired judge from the Belleville area once said to me, "the justice system is only for the rich, otherwise it is completely useless."
But my hope is that we may one day be able to look upon our system of scrutinizing the rights and wrongs, taking into account all of the information, not just the information which suits the agenda of those in positions of power and authority. At that time we will be able again to have some reason to cite Canada as a Just Society. In the meantime, the discrepancy between powerful and weak, rich and poor becomes ever greater. There will come a time when it is no longer manageable and the oppressed will not be able to care for themselves or their families. We are eating our own tails! |

| 134 | John Holmes | Please ensure that your government fulfills the constitutional requirement of meaningful consultation with Aboriginal people with regard to this issue. To date, this has not occured. The penalties imposed last week by the Court on Robert Lovelace were excessive. The response from a broad spectrum of citizens in this Province has been overwhelmingly in support of Mr Lovelace. For years, the antiquated regulations regarding mineral rights have been a source of tension between landowners and mining companies in the area north of Kingston. The regulations need to be reviewed and changed so that people (both aboriginal people and settlers) can exercise wise stewardship of the land without threat of environmental damage from profit motivated corporate mining interests |
| 135 | Brent Niganobe | To the Hon. Dalton McGuinty,
We First Nations people have supported you with-out thought and would like you to look into this sentences |
| 136 | NIcola Oddy | This is a huge issue that effects our region. I would like to see the whole law revisited, so that the concept of owners only having 'surface' rights is evaluated. |
| 137 | keith larocque | Dear Sir
At this presant time I am not impressed with the liberal government I can not believe that you would turn your back on this urgent situation If the water shed becomes polluted with uranium then look in the mirror and witness the death of the Ottawa valley and surrounding area.
Yours truly disapointed Keith Larocque |
| 138 | April Jones | I think what has happened to the Ardoch Algonquin First Nation peoples is unjust and should be handled properly. These people have showed no aggression in their protesting and are being incarcerated for unjust reasons. Something needs to be done! |
| 139 | Paul McKinnon | Mr McGuinty, (I purposefully omit the "honourable") your lack of leadership in regard to aboriginal issues is appalling. You let Caledon drag on without action, pounce on peaceful protestors with legitimate concerns and a willingness to negotiate and, simultaneously neglect aboriginal eduction by refusing to fund FNTI. Who would have thought we would be looking towards the Conservatives for leadership on aboriginal issues. Respond immediately to this urgent request. |
