| 1104 | Matthew English | Here is your chance to make a real difference in the relationship between the government and the natives of this province, and the country for that matter. You're a fool not to take this opportunity. |
| 1105 | Anonymous | I believe the sentences handed down not only to Bob Lovelace and Paula Sherman and the KI protesters against Platinex were not only harsh but unconstitutional. There was a failure to consult in both cases and this is against the Supreme Court ruling that FN must be consulted and accomodated before any mining takes place. |
| 1106 | Meg Illman-White | Your inaction as premier is unacceptable. It constitutes action of the worst kind. I live 4 hours downstream of this proposed mining site. This is the kind of issue that requires leadership, strong, courageous leadership that cares about the environment and the first nations people. |

| 1117 | margot smith | The only thing I would change in your process is that the convicitions and sentences, inlcuding fines and the jail time for Bob Lovelace, be set aside. I find it apalling that first nations people can be treated so differentially ( when compared to the other protesters charged) . if this injustice were to remain I believe it should be treated as a Charter violation. |

| 1119 | Dr. John C. Walsh | It is time to undo ninteenth-century injustices being exercised as twenty-first-century "policy". |

| 1126 | ona smith, Reg.N, HRM undergrad in First Nations Studies | please dontn allow this mine--public health people tell us that the Radon in everyones basements around this area are only second to cigarette smoke in causing human lung cancer |
| 1127 | elizabeth boehm-wilson | Review Ontario's mining act! Do it today! It needed to be done YESTERDAY.
Please show First Nations people the respect they deserve! It is a shame on Canada -- again -- the way we are handing the two recent cases in Ontario at Sharbot Lake and at KI. Please don't bring any more shame on us. |

| 1134 | Shirley Holman | The potential and actual effects of uranium mining on the surrounding environment are far too serious for the government to practice such a cavalier approach to permitting mining exploration and drilling for this substance. It is also unacceptable that the government prosecute persons who peacefully protest such exploration. This is simply without respect for the democratic principles that our government is founded upon. |
| 1135 | Jan Doherty | I am appalled that the individuals peacefully protesting and speaking out against the mining of uranium have been silenced and/or jailed. Let us all speak out and support them and make sure our government reviews and revamps this out-dated mining law. |

| 1140 | Bruno Heroux | I come from Montréal and am not a citizen of Ontario. Although I spent nearly 4 years studying in Ontario, I have to stress the point here that where I am from matters very little in such affairs. What matters is who I am, and I am a Québécois. So does it matter to aboriginals who belong to their own respective nations. The acts of the Government of Ontario are bringing shame to the nations which pull its strings. The denial of distinct indentity of aborignals and of their right to self-determination has lasted long enough, too long in fact. As I did was not called to vote for you, you may dismiss my comments as they emanate from a non-constituent. What you may not dismiss is this: the international community and the civil society see clearly now on whose side you stand, that of corporations, not that of the peoples of Ontario. |
| 1141 | Kevin Pashkewicz | First Nation rights/laws should be observed, as they were here before Canada! |
| 1142 | Hannah Owusu-Koranteng | The Free, Prior Informed consent should be the basis for investment under globalisation where private capital is forcing vulnerable community people out from their lands |
| 1143 | mcmullen | dear mcginty
as follow for many year the justice system must be revamped and come together with the aboriginal laws and belieaves.
we now have 1 of our own in jail because they are drilling on aborininal land , this is not exceptable.
if the government cant get there shit together how do they exspect the aboriginal and the government to be able to work a treety out .
with all the treeties out standing and if they are not addressed accordingly i strongly belieave there will be more blood shed like the ipperwash REMEMBER
GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER

| 1144 | Ian Doig | I am simply at a loss for words. A democratically elected government is apparently unable to detect what is to me a pretty obvious fact that THE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE DIRECTLY AFFECTED BY THIS ISSUE DO NOT WANT URANIUM EXPLORATION TO TAKE PLACE IN THIS WATERSHED. Furthermore, of the citizens of Ontario who are aware of the contents of the current Mining Act, all but a few prospectors and shareholders in mining properties demand a complete overhaul of this century-plus-old act. While I well understand that all we as individuals can offer a party or a government is our vote whilst corporations can finance campaigns, it still seems to me that a government that claims to be democratic in nature should bloody well pay some note to what the Demos is saying. |
| 1145 | Kenneth Szijarto | I request that the government of Ontario find a better way to negotiate with the province's aboriginal peoples. |
