Name: Amanda Keys on Oct 4, 2012Comments: Totally agree. Moody Road is a rat run - living in Kingsmead Avenue I have had to cross Moody Road many times with children. When the lollipop man is not on Stubbington Lane, we have to cross Stubbington Lane, using the middle islands, which is fairly risky when stood in the middle of such a busy road. Once we have safely crossed the main road we then have the hazardous task of crossing Moody Road, which you would think is a quieter road, so should be safer - it's not.Flag

Name: Vicky Stabler on Oct 4, 2012Comments: This road is incredibly dangerous as all cars speed through this and use it as a cut through. Recently a little boy got run over even with the lollipop man in the road attempting to stop the cars. People have no regard for children or the lollipop mand and do not stop. Cars parked also make it difficult to see around the numerous bends but people still drive like lunatics. This road is heavily used by many children so something needs to be done to highlight this and encourage cars to slow down!!! Why cant this be a 20 limit zone?????Flag

Name: Anonymous on Oct 4, 2012Comments: I'm one of the numerous mums who use the footpaths from around Seafield Park and behind the gardens, to go to Crofton Hammond Infant school, as I always thought this way more secure with my young children scooting and cycling than the main road. This way includes crossing Moody Road near its junction with Beverly Close. As the road is busy and bendy, quite dangerous, and that there are quite a lot of people using this way to go to the schools, the village and even beyond, I've always been surprised to see there wasn't any crossing or lollipop person to help make the crossing of this road safer. I would be really grateful for the council to consider the security issue due to the lack of safety features at this particular point of the road, especially considering accidents already happened on this road at other points straighter and where lollipop persons were supervising! Anything, really, to make it safe for all. Many thanks in advance.Flag
