After the last three years of the Pollard administration, faculty, staff, students and concerned Brooklyn community residents have held public hearings and meetings to discuss their concerns related to practices of gender discrimination and sexual harassment; the constant violation of governance and CUNY Bylaws with impunity; the removal and firing of qualified faculty and staff; the elimination of student support mechanisms and faculty resources at the College meant to assure that our students are job market ready.

Faculty have taken many steps to inform President Pollard that his misguided policies are hurting students’ success and the College. The President’s refusal to meet with senior faculty and the Faculty Senate to discuss these issues and violations, the mounting body of concerns by faculty and staff and the demoralizing work environment for faculty and staff spurred the April 18th Vote of No Confidence against President William L. Pollard and Provost Howard C. Johnson. The removal of Pollard and Johnson is demanded immediately.
