Over the past few years, World of Warcraft has seen a large population shift in which high population servers have grown at the expense of low/medium population servers. This shift in population has rendered a radically different play experience between the two categories of realms.
Low population servers suffer from a lack of PUG raids, lack of progressed guilds, a smaller pool of skilled players, and an unhealthy market. While Cross Realm Zones have been a step in the right direction, they are merely a cosmetic fix on the real issue. We as players ask that there be serious discussion about server merges, with a possible solution to come as early as 5.2.
