Final supporters
Spanish is not being run as a subject at AS and A2 level, despite a protest meeting with the head - Mrs. Wilkinson. The reason for this were that not enough people had enlisted to study Spanish next year and that historically more people drop out of Spanish after the AS exams (which some students are very unlikely to do), However, I do not think that the protest meeting we managed to fully convey our enthusiasm, drive and passion we have for the subject. Therefore, I've decided to organise this petition to show that my supporters and I are genuinely willing to invest time and effort into something we are extremely eager to do. On behalf of all the people who have signed this petition, the teachers, others wishing to do Spanish and myself, we request you with utmost sincerity to reconsider your decision and run Spanish at AS next year.

I honestly did not think this would gain so much traction when I started it in the corridor that morning but here we are and it just feels surreal. Seeing so many people back this makes me think Mrs. Wilkinson might actually have to listen to us now because this is way more than just a couple of students complaining.

This is very sad as students should be given the opportunity to study such a common language
I think we need level A2 spanish because plenty of people are motivated and eager to do it. So please give us A2 Spanish!!!
Foreign languages is key for many employers. As a Birmingham University interviewer, I strongly advise you that taking a language would help you for the future. Best of luck!
Languages are an integral part of life and learning one helps to create more rounded young men and women
I think languages are extremely important especially since more of the world is communicating. This calls for people that can speak languages, especially younger ones doing it in schools. It's very important that Spanish is run.

We all really want Spanish ! Just get us a teacher and we'll promise to be superb and get the highest marks in that specific subject ..
