This petition is a call for the food industry, or a call to the government, to prohibit the use of antibiotics and the use of growth hormones in farm animals. There is far too little knowledge of the harm that these chemicals have on the animal and much less the people that eat them or their by-products. For those who think that the government and "big business" is doing all they can for the health of the consumer should ask them why Europe does not allow the use of growth hormones and some antibiotics in any of their farm animals. Europe does not even allow the importation of beef and other such food products to come from the United States or Canada. Sign this petition if you believe that the food industry/government should change what they are doing and promote organically grown food.
