With A B schedules, students learn more than they do in a 45 minute class. The A B schedule allows for FOUR classes a day that are 90 minutes long each. instead of EIGHT classes a day where classes are only 45 minutes long. In 90 minute classes students are allowed to the one on one time they need with a teacher. Ask them questions, so that they can understand the lesson that the teacher taught instead of having to rush through it. 90 minute classes may seem like a waste, in truth they're not. it allows for the students to have more time on the homework assignment they are given. more time to study for the quiz they have to take in class. And most importantly it allows to students not just one morning of extra help from the teacher but it allows for two mornings of tutorials that are needed. As where in a 45 minute class the spent trying to quite the down to get to the lesson and go over homework. that situation doesn't help anyone. it only hurts the students who didn't get the question answered that they need answered by the teacher.
