Most children who have Autism are put into special education classes with other children who have disabilities. The School Board does this because they believe it is a learning disability and that they cannot comprehend information as well as the other students who are not in special education classes. By doing this the students with Autism are not meeting their potential and are suffering for it. If teachers were more equipped and capable of comprehending and understanding the needs of children with Autism these children might be able to find a field in which they can strive or succeed. This can only be done by properly training the teachers.
