The petition

We, as members of the Yale Community, have a vested interest in the collective health, happiness, and general well-being of our fellows. In light of this, we would like to ask that the University Health Services Plan be revised to subsidize the cost of the HPV vaccine, Gardasil, which protects against the four types of HPV which cause 70% of cervical cancers. Dartmouth and Princeton have already altered their student medical coverage policies to make an exception and subsidize the vaccine in part or in full for their students. We are asking for the University to make similar efforts. This is not just a business, it is a community. Help us protect ourselves, and each other.
