This petition is in support of giving the land that is currently The State of Texas back to The Republic of Mexico. Texas succeeded from Mexico on April 21, 1836 and became part of the United States in 1845. Texas has now worn out its welcome as part of the United States. Such current politicians as George W. Bush and Tom Delay have made a good case for Texas to be expelled. With Bush as President, Texas is ruling the United States with an iron fist that has ruined the values of our citizens while replacing them with; aggression toward neighbors, SUV’s, oil dependence, bad sports teams, and the general attitude of an ignorant cowboy. Texas also has 4 cities in the top 10 of America’s Fattest Cities (#1 Houston, #5 Dallas, #7 San Antonio, and #8 Fort Worth). Why should we have overweight, out of shape, unattractive, unhealthy people running this country? President Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas 40 years ago. Texas did not protect the leader of this country and has not aided in the prosecution of the crime. Texas has ruined many important words that have helped to make America what it is. “Freedom”, “Liberty”, “Democracy” have all been ruined when Texans have encourage their usage to justify killing, lying, conquering, and many other crimes. Texas has forced the dependence of oil on the United States people. Such criminal energy companies as Enron, Halliburton, The Saudi Royal Family, Carlyle Group, and other Bush related companies have force OUR country into war and have corrupted America. As of October 2004 Texan politicians have engaged in such criminal acts as bribery of other officials, shifting of district lines to aid their elections, and of course lying to the American public. With a Texan in charge, the Texan way has spoiled that of the America way. Texas and its politicians have placed themselves above the Constitution and continue to do the best for Texas, not America. We need to show Texas that in America we are honest people who have good moral values of compassion not of those of corruption. |
