Dear Senator Feinstein:
California's wild lands and rivers are some of the most spectacular in the world, providing clean drinking water to our communities, homes to plants and animals, and tourism dollars to our economy. But our national forests, wild desert areas, and free-flowing rivers are slowly being degraded.
Areas like Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, and the Mojave Desert are a vital part of our state, and an important part of what makes California great for family recreation and enjoyment. We need to make sure these and other special places and rivers, such as the King Range, the Big Sur coast, and the Kings River, are fully protected, for future generations to enjoy. |
