Lake Union is one of Seattle’s great treasures constituting a necessary and unique resource for: boat owners in Lake Union marinas; water-dependent businesses (boat sales, vessel repair, etc.); and, landside and waterborne residents along Westlake Avenue North. This community and its supporters hereby petition the City of Seattle to EXCLUDE ALL PAY PARKING OPTIONS, including PayStations, in any parking plan it may propose now or in the foreseeable future.
We also wish to ensure that the City of Seattle’s process for implementing any new parking management plan WILL PROVIDE FOR MEANINGFUL INPUT FROM AFFECTED GROUPS and will ultimately reflect the needs of this diverse water-dependent community. |
