| 55 | Paulette Kelley | What about the immigrants who does not even pay into the system. And it seems the government is all for helping them What happen to helping your own. We have homeless Americans due to the fact they can't find jobs because the companies now hire the immigrants Due these companies get a tax break or something and i know this to be true because the company i once worked for quit hiring Americans and I saw some of their checks They would acually pay no more than 2.00 for federal how many Americans paid 2.00 for federal tax. They get me for atleast 80.00 a week I would sure like to pay 2,00 and keep the other 78.00 for myself. So before beating up the women who have babies and daddy's who won't help support them take a good look around at how many immigrants there are now and how they probably live better than you do. |
| 56 | Anonymous | I agree!! I'm all for helping people who are down on their luck, but too many people abuse the system. |

| 65 | Brittany | Everyone that receives welfare should be REQUIRED to submit to random urine tests. |

| 68 | Anonymous | This subject is what I am doing for a project in my marketing class and i feel that this is a large problem facing America today, I think that it is a wise and possibly costly solluiton to the welfare problem. If i was Obama I would stop welfare all together! |

This free ride for the deliberately poor is taking its toll on the Country and especially the dwindling "middle class". Please remember that I truly believe we should always provide for the physically and mentally challenged as well as the genuinely poor. Unproductive, unmotivated, and unscrupulous welfare recipients will always somehow be a tax burden. I agree, although drug testing for welfare recipients is a practical idea, it will not work. Let me tell you why… Testing, re-testing, enforcement, rehabilitation, monitoring, relocation and, administration cost would only eat up and exceed the anticipated tax savings. I believe that I have a brilliant fix for this complex social issue, which has worked in the past.
This serious social issue gained awareness when the government tried to reduce crime in high rise housing complexes, (the projects) by relocating them into working class neighborhoods under the section eight program. This only relocated crime while hindering the hard working taxpayer. Now they are doing/selling drugs, drinking loudly while disturbing the peace making it difficult for neighbors to get ready for work the next day, a concept they are not accustomed to.
We all know that the majority of welfare recipients would fail a drug urine test, and THEN WHAT? We tried social intercourse and it is failing miserably, the government just has not realized it yet or, chooses not to. I say, let us re-instate class segregation. Everyone could live comfortable if they chose to work and earn income while paying taxes. This would save and generate new taxes. If they chose not to work then, the taxpayers will put them up in a high-rise and low-rise complexes (the projects) where they are surrounded by neighbors alike, to high and drunk to realize they are disturbing the peace.
