Dear fellow WZ players.
I am writing you concerning recent events that have transpired in WZL in the past 1-2 days. If you are not familiar with the situation, I will give a short recap for you....
Match 1 of the playoffs was played between Opulence/Gust/Domination. Opulence won the match in overtime. Domination appealed the match citing poorly designed overtime rules and the appeal was granted by Wonderer. The appeal was granted because "there was an oversight in the rules that created a long match", the OT rules were changed yesterday by Wonderer and the new rules were applied retroactively to the match already played which was his reason for granting the appeal. The OT rule until 1 day ago was that if a team didn't have flags after 90 minutes, they were speced and the game continued 1v1. The three teams played the match knowing these rules as they have been in place all season and were even discussed on a specific thread in August.
Wonderer has now changed the OT rules (which I dont really have a problem with, although I think there were better solutions for OT), but he then applied them retroactively to the match already played. This really blows my mind how he can just nullify a playoff match because he felt like changing the rules 5 days after said match was played. In any other league I have ever played in, some games have exposed flaws in the rules. The rules were changed the following season, but were never applied retroactively to matches that already happened!
It was also brought to my attention that this was not the first questionable decision made by WZL leadership this season, but unfortunately I do not have intimate knowledge of those situations.
I am challenging you, my fellow players/captains, to take this league back. We cannot allow rules to be made up on the fly and the applied to matches that have already occurred. Everyone had chances to read the rules preseason and during the season and we have all agreed to play the league under them. Having rules changed after games are played and applied to said games undermines the integrity of this league and brings into serious question the decision making skills of the WZL leadership. I am challenging you to join me in petitioning WZL leadership to reverse this decision and allow the outcome of match 1 to remain as is and not allow leadership to change the rules on the fly and then apply them to games already played.
Whether you like me or not, whether you like Opulence or not, allowing the WZL operators to change the rules after the fact without consulting the captains or using what would appear to be basic common sense will seriously jeopardize the life of WZL. A league run in such a manner is a league destined to fail and it will fail unless we take a stand and take our rights and subspace players and captains back.
Please reply back to this petition email in support and email Wonderer@wzctf.net and let him know that the league cannot be run in this fly-by-night manner and that decisions like this will not be tolerated by the WZ community. We must stand together if we want this league to continue on the remainder of the season and next season.

I apologize for the lengthy message, but with all the excitement coming into this WZL, it is sad that it has come to this and something must be done now.
