The RSGB although the main voice of amateur radio does not represent the majority of licensed amateur radio operators or listeners in the UK. The amateur radio fraternity has for many years been a main player in the advancement and development of the more lucrative sections of the communications industry as well as national security communications. To treat amateur radio as unimportant and too costly to spend money on is very short sited. |
