Julie Mann | I am so much improved in health, largely due to Dr Myhill. She is the first person to really understand what having M.E means.
Anonymous | I am dismayed that any accusations could be made towards Dr Myhill. She is a champion and has been of immense help to many of us with M.E.
Johanna Tesson | We need more doctors like Sarah Myhill, not less. She is THE leading authority on ME/CFS and offers her information for free, because she actually seems to care about people. I cannot begin to express how valuable this has been to me. Please leave her to get on with her work.
lydia martin | Its quite clear to me that Dr Sarah Myphill has only the best interests of her patients in mind. With a condition such as CFS/ME there is so little support/help/advice from the medical community - certainly there are no answers and effective treatment so the concepts and the expereince Dr Myphill has gained from treating people should be welcomed not supressed. Its truely a very disabling condition - one that i think is very difficult for others to grasp and understand - helping and allevieting peoples suffering if surely the most important thing and i'm sure is the motivation for most doctors.
Isabel Webster | Having had M.E for 25 years with little or no help (at best) from the Heath Service, I found a doctor on Dr Myhill who not only treated me but helped me understand the process of disease. Her input has been invaluable to so many people!
Jill East | Dr. Myhill's approach is the appropriate one for today. Illness is complicated by modern life.

Andrew Hudson | When the only "tested" treatment is hugely unscientific (there is no protocol for CBT and it has exactly the same success rate - including time to when it kicks in - as graded walking which it includes) it is good that someone is genuinely trying to find a medical treatment rather than making a political statement (ME is psychological).
Maija Haavisto | I'm a medical writer and I've written a book about pharmaceutical treatments of CFS/ME (naturally with hundreds of references). While I don't agree with every opinion and and practice of Sarah MyHill, I was appalled and stunned to hear that she's subject to such a witch hunt for ridiculous reasons like that. She's a great doctor who treats people instead of numbers. That is her only "crime" - besides being ahead of her time. She is certainly able to help CFS/ME patients than 99% of other doctors. Instead of punishment she should be awarded.

| 815 | Anonymous | I am constantly frustrated at doctors who prefer to work for drugs companies trading their wares. I have had on many occasion had to spend months sometimes years in researching conditions I have with good results found outside prescribed drugs. Why cant all work in harmony?
Good luck in your quest. Remember they laughed at Loise Pasteur. |
Lesley Lovell | After the way I have been treated by an arrogant and abrasive NHS Professor, who caused me harm by reducing my thyroxine so much I fell very ill again, and my skin started to flake off once more, and who ignored tests, reccommendations by his own registrar and a senior consultant, losing his temper thereby, I feel that NHS has abandoned us hypothryoid patients completely. So anybody who is prepared to act as the GMC and the Dof H reccommend, using tests, clinical signs in order to help, deseves my support whether or not I have seen her myself. More power to her elbow and thanks for her courage in resisting this appalling regime in the NHS today. My retire enod friend gave her patients more time and care and useful treament than we get now, despite teh advance in medical techniques..
Anonymous | We with ME need Drs like Dr. Sarah Myhill as she understands us and wants to help us.

Phylippa Nall | My experience, as a patient of Dr Myhill for c. 10 years, of her careful, comprehensive clinical consultations combined with objective tests and co-management of my condition with bothe myself and my GP is efffective and very welcome albeit unusual. Reliance on tests (which give a broad indication of normal ranges for the majority of the population) is not sufficient for patients with intransigent conditions. The combination of history and symptom taking, treatment and subsequent testing to ensure that patients are not in any danger or outside the test ranges demonstrates a high degree of care and caution as well as effective treatment.
Gerard S Hayman | I have used Dr Myhill's web and correspondents to give me hope of over coming my illness. This support was grossly missing in GPs who simply showed unbelievable ignorance.
Karen, Sheila Pratt | Karen as the C.F.S. patient and Sheila as mother hold Doctor Myhill in the highest esteem
Sharon Pugh | Without the help of Dr Myhill I would be unable to work owing to M.E. She knew what to do and it worked. My GP was happy to follow her advice. Hospital has been no help whatsoever. I continue to follow her medical advice.
jenny dupre | Dr Sarah Myhill and others like her is the only hope for this devastating condition and has has dedicated her life to its treatment mind body and soul
| 830 | Denise Abrahams | I wish the GMC would put as much effort into helping patients with Thyroid disease as they are into persecuting innocent doctors whose only 'crime' has been to help those whose bloodtests fall outside the prescribed level to be considered Hypothyroid. The GMC's job, I would think is to make sure patients receive the treatment they need. Instead they prefer to harass and shame doctors who have helped many people who otherwise may well have died.
I, as probably many people, am sick and tired of hearing so called 'professionals' decide what is good for people by using a one fit for all attitude when it comes to diagnosing or in a lot of cases, not diagnosing illness. What a pity they don't put their traditional attitudes away for a moment and listen to the doctors they are persecuting. |

| 833 | Barbara Berry | She gave me insight into ME when I initially was diagnosed & gave me hope & confidence that someone was trying to develop ways to bring this illness into focus in the medical profession.
Her articles in the magazine "Action for ME" over several years have been spot on. |

Janet Kempson | Dr Sarah Myhill is saving my life. Let her continue to practise and help people like myself
Anette Victoria Ness | I am on Armour after years of hell on thyroxine without a doctor that was intelligent enough to prescribe Armour I would have been dead, of that I am certain.

P GILMOUR | Dr Myhill has gone out of her way to help me with my condition.
Margaret Robinson | Dr Myhill has treated myself and all the members of my family. And my present GP is happy for us to do so, my daughter, grandchidren and myself suffer from asthma, ecxema and associated problems and have had excellent results with DR Myhills help and advice in many ways. The treatment was issuied by personal consultation, telephone, internet and written documention. This WITCH HUNT should stop.
Helen Cramp | Most doctors are afraid to try new things when 'conventional' treatments don't work; some just can't be bothered to make the effort required to help people with illnesses that are not well understood, they don't want to increase their knowledge when faced with an illness they know little about. Dr.Myhill has given help & hope to many people by being open-minded and making the effort to help those who don't have a well known illness. If only all doctors were like her.
Alison Jacobs | I think we'd all like to know what's going on.

jon dixon | Modern "health" care as represented by the NHS is the flat earth society of the scientific community. Is the problem that curing people is not considered profitable enough? Chronic illness is profitable. Is low grade health acceptable?(nxt stp extinction)
Paul J. Stevens |
Pat Wright | I have cared for my daughter for the last ten years and have experienced first hand the prejudiced attitude of the majority of doctors towards ME. Sarah Myhill is a very helpful self help resource for patients, who are ill but can get only abuse from their GPs and consultants. No complaints by patients have been made. The reasons for pursuing this complaint as far as I can see are purely political and if Sarah Myhill is not cleared of any wrongdoing it is patients who need her who will suffer. I fully support Sarah Myhill. We need more like her.
Judith Evans | I have been supported by Dr Myhill for 7 years now in dealing with chronic fatigue syndrome. I find her practical, a good listener, widely read, hard working, honest and willing to try new things.
