It is soooooo nice that the world can come together for 17 days as ONE!!!!!!And even if just for awhile, everyone can actually celebrate our selves as one. And then the paralymics that come right after!! These are good role models for our youth, that have nothing but negative coming out of the world, it shows that no matter who you are YOU can make a difference and be all that you can be,, even if it is for 17 days. Be it an athlete or a volunteer or even a spectator.Or for that fact a person on the street showing a smile and saying HI!!!!!We are starting to see the shift of good morals and some faith goes a long way in keeping a person grounded. So WHY would we want to destroy again something that is good for the world. We have taken everything out of our schools and from our parents for the good of our children only to create young people who don't respect anything. The old rules and faith were tough and yes some abused it but look what we have now out there. the Olympics show that hard work, respect for one's self and humanity , disipline and faith are still the elements we need in our world. |
