Isn't it fair that the people of British Columbia decide if they should bid for the 2010 winter olympics! The full details (which will be provided in the Bid Book to be presented to the IOC.)are not currently being provided to the general public for discussion. Elsewhere services to the people of BC are being cut, the government finances are in deficit, should we not be supporting our services, and not an expensive olympic bid. |

The petition sponsor does not hold any political membership, and is not motivated to bring about a change of Government in British Columbia. We believe that it is irresponsible to support the Vancouver Olympic bid while current services are being reduced due to the provincial governments financial deficit. Before spending the large sums required to host the game, we believe the people of BC should know the full details of the bid. |
