| 4252 | Christy Broussard | OUTRAGEOUS OFFENSIVE HORRENDUS - what else can I say about what the legislators in Richmond are doing to the citizens of Virginia! REPEAL REPEAL REPEAL - NOT MODIFY - REPEAL |
| 4253 | Anonymous | These fees will effect anyone who drives and gets an arbitrary traffic ticket. It can and will cost residents they ability to make a living.
There are other ways to raise funds for transportation...toll ways...restaurant tax...gas tax...
or local bond issues. Can't our lawmakers be more creative and less punitive? |
| 4254 | John Patterson | Stop the madness. Repeal this mess.
Lower our taxes overall, and spend only on what is necessary. Make Northern Virginia pay for ITS roads. Not us. |
| 4255 | J LeCates | |
| 4256 | Sandra Cavey | Excessive and unconstitutional |
| 4257 | Anonymous | I urge you to repeal the "civil remedial fees" because they are unconstitutional and place a huge burden on hardworking Virginians that are already having a hard time making ends meet. Thank you. |
| 4258 | Billie MacMillan | These fees are "rape" |
| 4259 | Tracy Campbell | This is crazy! How can they give fees ONLY to the state residents and NOT out of state drivers. I am another who is requesting that Special Session be called no later than October 30, 2007, and HB-3202: HB 3202 Transportation funding, be COMPLETELY REPEALED. |

| 4267 | Alex Ershov | Novemeber 6 - ELECTION DAY! Check it out to see how your candidates voted on this "fees" and show them the door!! Those fees is the SECOND punishment (on top of fine) which is ILLEGAL. So don't get distracted by non-virginians stuff and that it will affect only BAD drivers. Lie! +5mph on the Beltway and you are among them... |

| 4270 | Linda Collins | |
| 4271 | Ann-marie Alford | This fee is absolutely rediculous. I try to always be aware of traffic laws and to drive safely. But, this revenue-raising mechanism is not the way to motivate drivers to change thier behavior. If you want to raise revenue, the least you can do is be forthright with your voting public, by annoucing a tax raise or consumer fee. Other options could be considered other than this back-door option. |
| 4272 | Michael Ellis | |
| 4273 | matt | repeal! this should be not tolerated |
| 4274 | Matthew W. Dillon | I have decided that since our delegates care nothing about what we think, that each one that voted for these new fines will not receive my vote in the future. I have a printed list and will ensure that at least 1 vote (mine) is not putting the same irresponsible people back in office. |
| 4275 | Robyn Wiley | I am tired of being an excessive ticket magnet simply because I drive a relatively decent car that's clearly targeted as revenue by someone too busy to go to court and capable of affording the outrageous fines that are higher than the actual violation fees. I will definitely be voting tomorrow! |
| 4276 | Anonymous | The people are speaking. Is anyone listening? This
is an unfair law as it is written. Rewrite it if you feel this is the most appropriate way to increase State revenues. |

| 4278 | Bonnie Jones | Fining ONLY Virginia residents is the problem. We have so many people living in VA from other states, but they are keeping their "old" address, so they don't have to pay certain taxes ion our state, &&&& we have so many people, truckers, and out-of-state workers running on our streets - THAT THIS BILL MAKES NO SENSE!!! |
| 4279 | Elizabeth Williams | I am not against bad driver fees, but they need to apply to everyone equally. Not just Virginia residents. Anyone, no matter what state they come from, if they break our laws, needs to pay the same fines we do. |
| 4280 | catherine williams | I am a 30 year old mother of three. I have never been in touble with the law. My driving record befor my accident was perfect. Seriously I had plus five points. The only thing that I have ever done wrong was receive 2 speeding tickets through out my whole life. The last of which was going 32 in a 25. I received that ticket when my daughter who is now 9 1/2 was only 6 months old. On November 03, 2007 I was comming to a stop at a red ligh on Witchduck road when I had an accident a hit the car in front of me. I was maybe at the most going somewhere between 5 and 10 miles a hour. More than likely it was closer to 5 because I was about stopped. The police officer gave me a reckless driving ticket for this accident. I believe that this is extremly wrong. In fact I was unaware of the excat trouble I was in until a co-worker brought it to my attention that I should get a lawyer. After researching everything that is about to come my way I am scared. This should not be happening and needs to be stopped. The courts should not be given the power to ruin peoples lives this way. |
| 4281 | Kimberly F. Adams | This is highway robbery. I am tired of being financially raped by the state of Virginia. As a constituent of the commonwealth, I strongly recommend that this be appealed immediately! Do not wait for Jan 08 and make it retroactive.
I will actively campaign against any representative who supports this type of financial blackmail of his/her citizens! Whoever voted for this bill should be removed from office! I am embarrassed and ashamed of our state legislature. |
| 4282 | Anonymous | Measure is unconstitutional! |
| 4283 | Dustin Miller | This law is clearly unconstitutional and should be repealed immediately. |
| 4284 | Julie D Reedy | Augusta County imposed these unjust fees that we can't afford on my 17 year old son because he had a single car accident trying to avoid a dog in the road!! |
| 4285 | Wayne Welshans | This law is outrageous. It is going to make tax payers leave the state and thus offset the income from the fee with lost taxes. |
| 4286 | Anonymous | Clearly a violation to common sense orchestrated by money hungry politicians. It is also unconstitutional and immoral to subject tax paying residents to these ridiculous fines. |

| 4294 | John A. Lowden | If I had to pay a $2000.00 or $3000.00 punitive damages for a traffic violation, i would be bankrupt. Why would any lawmaker in their right mind want to impose such a heavy burden on anyone??? If the state needs money for road repair or to build new highways, why not consider having a law requiring anyone that is found guilty of anything pay like $100.00 or $200.00 into the highway fund instead of hitting the instate drivers with such a large amount ???? And Govenor Tim Kaine, for you signing into law a bill that will hurt Virginia families like this, you need to have your head examined, provided there is anything up there to examine. We will remember this on election day when you are running for another term. |
| 4295 | hyun-woo park | |
| 4296 | Alan B Clark | This is unjust, unfair and unconstitutional. Is this just a way for the fat cat's to get a third crossing for the trucking companies? Let the stupid middle and lower class in the peninsula area pay. |
