| 2 | Al Mattei | My brothers and sisters in the U.S. field hockey community, we must unite in this important cause. For if a school with a $1 million gift can cry poverty like Ohio University did when it cut lacrosse, administrations around the country can do what they want without accountability. |

| 19 | bob | SAVE URI Field Hockey!!! If you really want to save money DROP your football team, as they are an embarrassment to the University & the CAA football conference!! Also, by dropping football, URI would be SAVING MILLIONS & NOT thousands of dollars!!!! |

| 32 | Larry Giammarco | There certainly has to be other options rather then cutting several division sports at URI. The school has made great strides in being reconginzed nationally for its academics and to cut a sport s in a college that has had such great growth over the last couple of years is unacceptable. Re-consider and look for other areas to raise funds to support these programs and it future at URI. |

| 36 | Anonymous | I am an umpire for over 30 yrs and cannot believe such a wonderful school as URI will be dropping a top sport such as field hockey. Do not do this, your program is well respected throughout the fh community. |
| 37 | William Condon | I am an URI Alumni |
| 38 | Leonard Ramsdell | Field Hockey helps build Women who are leders |
| 39 | Elena Stabile | Please reconsider your views on dropping the field hockey program...why don't you drop one of the mens sports. Why do women's sports always suffer. |
| 40 | Paul Ferszt | Field Hockey is the second most popular sport in the world and growing in popularity in The US. The decision to drop Field Hockey today would be like a school dropping Socer 20 years ago! its stupid and unfair to the girls and boys who play Field Hockey |

| 46 | Alexandra Roks | To whom it may concern:
I have played 'field hockey' since the age of 9. And though in my late 40's, still find it highly enjoyable on both a social and competitive level. More importantly, NY city has a growing CLUB involvement for both the MEN & LADIES that allowes all to continue so.
It is al imensely satisfying and credit deservidly goes to past Schools, Colleges and Clubs alike here and abroad who helped foster this love of the game.
I therefore cannot see how any ORGANIZATION would wish to entirely eliminate the sport from it programs.
Sincerely,
Alexander Rooks
