He yells, curses and otherwise attempts to circumvent their roles of authority in the organization, which have little to do with his area - never behaving this way toward male staff members. When I complained to the top administrator (the supervisor for both of us), she told me we had to learn to get along and reported it as a personality conflict between two parties, implying power equality, of which there was not. Six months later, my office has been marginalized, and our supervisor barely speaks to me, while he has been "rewarded" with more authority over what used to be my domain. It has sent a clear, chilling message to others, needless to say. I hesitate even to sign this petition, as I'm sure others are, too. |
