| 987 | Manisa Prema | I think this is absolutely repulsive - the fact that this matter was overlooked numerous times really disappoints me. We need to have a better system in order to report these incidents and make sure that they don't happen again - the liaison between the student and proper UGA authorities should not be looking at the best interests of the accused, but rather, of the student body. This educational institution would NOT exist without students, but it is really pathetic to discover that the incidents that affect the students the most are overlooked for the reputation and benefit of the school and associated faculty. Those with the power at UGA need to understand that if the students are not satisfied and are put in this abhorrent atmosphere, they WILL NOT return. Those responsible for harboring this professor and condoning his actions don't understand the power of the student body, and how those demands need to be met. We, as students, have a RIGHT to a safe and secure learning environment. If this is an institution for higher learning, shouldn't it follow that we are taught in a more professional manner? |
